On Friday evening, we sat with Bryan Newman, who shared his wisdom on how he secured the R&A Africa Amateur Championship trophy at just 17 years old.

This week the rain has been relentless causing us to close the course, receiving over 80mm of rain on Tuesday and Wednesday has rendered the course unplayable. We hope for some sunshine later today but the forecast looks bleak until Friday. With that in mind we have discussed the Pan Acht series event and have moved this month's event into June keeping the number of events the same for the series.

Seventeen-year-old Bryan Newman put on a stellar performance at Leopard Creek, securing a two-shot victory in the R&A Africa Amateur Championship. With a composed and strategic approach, Bryan held off a strong field, securing not just a win, but an incredible lineup of exemptions, including a spot in The 153rd Open Championship at Royal Portrush and the 130th Amateur Championship. A huge achievement. Congratulations, Bryan!

The greens will be great after the sand has settled in. Our green surrounds , tee boxes and driving range tee boxes are all getting a solid verticut to enhance growth and removal of foreign grasses.
